The story behind Pixellize
Pixellize started in 2024 because most free tool sites either ask for your email after the second use, stamp a logo on the output, or quietly upload your file to a server you have never heard of. We wanted somewhere we could compress a file, calculate a quick number, or audit a page without any of that. So we built it. The project is run by Simranjit Kaur. No investor pressure, no growth team, just tools that get added when people ask.
Where is Pixellize headed?
New tools ship roughly every week based on real requests sent to contact@pixellize.io. The pipeline currently leans into developer utilities, SEO auditors, and image format converters, with social-media tools and calculators added on demand. On the WordPress side, the three official plugins get a small update every few weeks, with bigger features driven by user reports on the WordPress.org support forums. The core promise stays the same: free, no signup, browser-only, no watermark.
Why not just use Smallpdf or iLovePDF?
Those sites upload your file to their servers, then nudge you toward a paid plan through daily limits, watermarks on output, and signup prompts after the third use. The free tier is a sales funnel. Pixellize processes everything in your browser, so there is no server cost to pass on and no business reason to gate you. No Pro plan, no signup wall, no watermark, no email harvested to drip-market a paywall later.
How can you support Pixellize?
There is no paid tier and no plan to add one. If you find Pixellize useful and want to give back, three things genuinely help: share a tool link with someone who might need it, leave a review on the WordPress.org plugin pages, or send a small one-time tip through the PayPal link in the footer. The biggest help is just telling a friend that a free, no-signup version of the tool they are looking for exists.
Where can you follow Pixellize for updates?
New tools and bigger updates go out on the Pixellize blog first. The same posts get shared on X, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram. If you prefer email, send a quick note to contact@pixellize.io asking to be added to the occasional release-notes list. No newsletter form, no popups, no automated drip sequence.

Why developers and businesses choose Pixellize

Most free tool sites trade your data, time, or output quality for the price tag. Pixellize is built so that none of those tradeoffs happen.

No signup, ever

Open any tool and start. We do not ask for an email, a phone number, or a password. No popup after the third use. No paywall after the tenth. The same person who visits anonymously gets the same access as everyone else.

No watermark on output

Every PDF, image, or file you generate is clean. No Pixellize logo stamped in the corner. No invisible metadata trail tying the file back to us. You own the output completely, ready for client work or production use.

No daily limits or quotas

Process one file or fifty in a row. There is no usage counter, no cooldown timer, and no rate limit imposed by a server, because there is no server doing the processing. Your device speed is the only ceiling.

Open-source on WordPress.org

Two official Pixellize plugins, Pixellize Form Database and Pixellize Image Optimizer, are free on the WordPress.org directory. Their code is fully auditable. The same engineering standards run the tools on this site.

A real person, not a SaaS team

Pixellize is run by Simranjit Kaur, founded in 2024. There is no growth-hack funnel, no a-b-tested checkout, no upsell sequence. Tools get built because real people ask for them, and they stay free because the cost to host them is small.

Direct support, no ticket queue

Email contact@pixellize.io and a person reads it. Bug reports turn into fixes within days, not quarters. Feature requests for tools that fit the scope often ship inside a week. You can also reach support through the WordPress.org plugin forums.

How does Pixellize process your files?

Every tool follows the same four steps. The whole process happens inside your browser tab, with no upload, no queue, and no server delay.

01

Open the tool

Pick a tool from the catalog. The JavaScript loads with the page, no login screen between you and the tool.

02

Drop your file or text

Upload a file or paste text. Processed entirely in your browser for maximum privacy and security.

03

Adjust the settings

Compression, dimensions, page range, format. Defaults work for most, so feel free to skip.

04

Download the result

Save the file from a Blob URL generated locally. Close the tab. Nothing persists outside your device.

Who is Pixellize built for?

Tools that fit the in-between work, no matter what your day job is. Pick the role that sounds like yours.

Developers

Format API responses, compress production CSS, generate placeholder text, and convert timestamps without leaving the browser.

Designers

Extract brand palettes from a live URL, compress export-ready assets, and convert raster art into clean SVG.

Small business owners

Calculate GST on every invoice, work out retail discounts in seconds, and shrink contract PDFs before emailing them.

SEO professionals

Run a full on-page audit, check keyword density on a competing URL, and verify SSL configuration before client handoff.

Free Pixellize plugins on WordPress.org

Three official plugins, all free and open source on the WordPress.org directory. Same engineering standards as the in-browser tools, built for WordPress site owners.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Pixellize tools.

Does Pixellize work offline once the page loads?
Most Pixellize tools work offline after the first page load because the JavaScript that powers them lives in your browser. You can disconnect from the internet, drag a file into the tool, and processing still completes. Tools that pull external resources, like the YouTube Thumbnail Downloader, are the exception.
How does Pixellize make money if every tool is free?
Pixellize is run on a small budget by an independent developer, not a venture-funded startup. Hosting costs stay low because most processing happens on your device, not on a server we pay for. There is no investor pressure to monetize and no user data collected to sell.
Can I use Pixellize tools for commercial or client work?
Yes. The output of every tool, whether it is a compressed PDF, a converted image, or generated text, belongs to you and can be used in any commercial project, client deliverable, or paid product. No attribution to Pixellize is required.
What is the maximum file size Pixellize can handle?
There is no fixed file size limit because no file is uploaded to a Pixellize server. The practical limit is whatever your browser tab can hold in memory, usually 500 MB to 2 GB depending on your device. PDFs up to 200 MB and images up to 50 MB process reliably on most laptops.
Does Pixellize store or log anything about the files I process?
No file content is sent to a Pixellize server, so there is nothing to store. We use standard anonymous analytics for page views, not file-level tracking. File processing happens entirely inside your browser tab and ends when you close it. Nothing persists outside your device.
Which browsers and devices does Pixellize support?
All modern browsers from the last three years work, including Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Brave, and Arc. The tools run on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS. iPad and large-screen Android devices handle most tools well; very old phones may struggle with the largest image files.
Does Pixellize work in incognito or private browsing mode?
Yes. Because every tool runs entirely in your browser tab, incognito and private modes work identically to a regular window. The only thing missing is your previous browser cache, so the first page load takes a fraction of a second longer. Once the tool JavaScript has loaded, drag-and-drop, processing, and download all behave the same way they would in a normal session.
Where can I report a bug or request a new tool?
Email contact@pixellize.io with a screenshot or a description of what happened. Most reproducible bugs are fixed within two to seven days. Tool requests get evaluated against whether they fit the in-browser-only architecture, then queued for the next release cycle.
